Session 7

Coordinated Planning and Operation of Multi-Source Hybrid Power Systems
“多源混合发电系统协同规划与运行”

The escalating penetration of wind and solar generation poses critical challenges to power system security and economic operation, arising from inherent intermittency and volatility. Flexible dispatchable resources—including thermal, hydro, and storage—demonstrate pronounced spatio-temporal complementarity with renewables, establishing wind-solar-hydro-thermal-storage hybrid systems as a pivotal paradigm for large-scale renewable accommodation. However, source heterogeneity engenders intricate challenges spanning capacity configuration, multi-scale balancing, and multi-agent coordination that conventional single-source frameworks inadequately address. Research into coordinated planning and operation is urgently warranted to develop a comprehensive optimization methodology, providing theoretical foundations and practical pathways for transformative renewable energy development and the establishment of an energy powerhouse.

Topics (Including but not limited to)

  • 1. Multi-timescale and Spatial Analysis of Wind and Solar Power Generation Characteristics 多时空尺度风电光伏出力特性分析
