Session 22: Grid-Edge Intelligence and Coordinated Management of Distributed Energy Resources

“电网边缘智能与分布式能源资源的协同管理”

Session 22

Grid-Edge Intelligence and Coordinated Management of Distributed Energy Resources
“电网边缘智能与分布式能源资源的协同管理”

With the rapid growth of distributed energy resources (DERs), including renewable generations, energy storage systems, electric vehicles, and flexible loads, power systems are undergoing a fundamental transition toward distributed, intelligent, and highly dynamic operation paradigms. Traditional centralized monitoring and control approaches are increasingly challenged by scalability, latency, and interoperability issues at the distribution grid level. Grid-edge intelligence has emerged as a key enabler for the next-generation distributed intelligent grid, allowing sensing, decision-making, and coordinated control to be performed closer to the physical assets. By leveraging edge computing, distributed optimization, and hierarchical coordination mechanisms, grid-edge intelligence facilitates efficient, reliable, and scalable management of massive DERs while respecting local network constraints.
This special session aims to provide an international forum for researchers and practitioners to present recent advances in grid-edge intelligence architectures, control and optimization methodologies, and real-world deployment experiences for the coordinated management of distributed energy resources in active distribution networks.

Topics (Including but not limited to)

  • Grid-edge intelligence architectures for active and intelligent distribution networks(面向有源与智能配电网的电网边缘智能体系结构)
  • Coordinated management and aggregation of distributed energy resources(分布式能源资源的协同管理与聚合控制方法)
  • Edge-based state estimation, monitoring, and situational awareness(基于边缘侧的状态估计、运行监测与态势感知技术)
  • Distributed and hierarchical optimization and control for DER coordination(面向分布式能源协调的分布式与分层优化控制方法)
  • Integration of electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and flexible loads at the grid edge(电动汽车、储能系统与柔性负荷在电网边缘侧的协同接入与运行)
  • Interoperability, scalability, and real-time implementation of grid-edge solutions(电网边缘智能系统的互操作性、可扩展性与实时实现技术)
